GTOC has proudly distinguished itself in Business Weekly's "Top 100 Carbon Competitiveness" Release date:2024-11-27
G-Tech Optoelectronics Corp. (GTOC) has proudly distinguished itself in the “Top 100 Carbon Competitiveness” survey, conducted in collaboration with Business Weekly and the NTU Risk Center’s Industry Climate Risk Research Team. This recognition not only underscores GTOC’s commitment to implementing ESG policies but also highlights our proactive efforts in carbon reduction and sustainable development. In response to the global trend towards net-zero carbon emissions and the government’s 2050 carbon neutrality target, GTOC has prioritized energy conservation and carbon reduction as the cornerstone of corporate sustainability. We have implemented power-saving policies and adjusted production schedules in alignment with Taiwan Power Company’s three-tiered pricing system. In 2022, we successfully applied for and passed the “Energy Efficiency Performance Guarantee Plan for Optimized Air Conditioning and Main Equipment Operation Energy Management System” initiated by the Energy Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Following this, we completed equipment upgrades in 2023. In our 2024 Sustainability Report, we will disclose the electricity-saving rate and greenhouse gas emissions before and after the equipment replacement. This award is part of the "Top 100" list compiled through research and evaluation by Business Weekly and serves as the greatest encouragement for our corporate partners who are deeply committed to sustainability. It also reaffirms the belief that "with dedication, success will follow." Moving forward, G-Tech will continue to implement energy-saving and carbon reduction strategies, waste reduction plans, and environmentally friendly measures to comply with regulations and align with international standards.
